Clay Dyer - The Most Inspirational Fisherman Ever

Today Terri and I had what we thought was a bad day. We were sued in small claims court... by an ex Grove Manager. He lied to us... lied about us... and did work that we specifically told him not to do. Difficult Decision for a Judge... one person's work against another... and all we had as evidence was notes in a file... and the Truth. We lost from our point of view... Had to pay $500 of the $1445 he was seeking... but... I came home to this video in my inbox... from a prior client and friend that lost $50,000 in a foreclosed second deed of trust today... and took time to send this to me. My God... it is incredible how much love and support there is out there... we had a wonderful day.

Facebook vs. LinkedIn: Which is better for business?
We test two top social networking sites with six business problems
By Preston Gralla and Jake Widman

Facebook vs. LinkedIn
Introduction

March 4, 2008 (Computerworld) Social networking is no longer the Next Big Thing; it's now as much part of our Web experience as search engines. Previously considered the province of kids who wanted to keep up with class gossip, social networking services are being co-opted by grownups who are examining ways to use them both within and outside of their places of employment.

The six business problems tested:

Look for a job without your boss knowing
Find information about a job you're interviewing for
Find a contract worker for a three-month Web project
Solicit ideas and discussion from team members
Get feedback on a nasty IT problem from peers outside your company
Keep track of former associates

CNN Confirms... Now is the Best time to buy

Housing: Best time to buy in four years
Home values have declined across the country, giving homebuyers the best buys they've had since 2004.
By Les Christie, CNNMoney.com staff writer
Last Updated: March 5, 2008: 10:40 PM EST

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- It may be the best time to buy a house in more than four years.

Home prices have dropped so quickly and so far that valuations - the difference between what a home should cost and its actual price - are the lowest they've been since 2004, according to a report.

The Cleveland-based bank National City Corp. (NCC, Fortune 500), together with financial analysis firm Global Insight, revealed Tuesday that more than 88% of the 330 housing markets surveyed showed price declines and improved affordability during the last three months of 2007.

Why California Housing Impacts the Nation

Realty Viewpoint: Why California Housing Impacts The Nation
by Blanche Evans:

If you're wondering why raising conforming loan limits from $417,000 to $625,000 will help borrowers, here's one good reason -- California. Over one in eight U.S. residents lives in California, so what happens there, doesn't stay there.

Shame on 60 Minutes...

Shame on 60 Minutes... Shame on CBS... and Shame on us for putting up with this...

I'm accountable for my actions. I earn my Commission. I tell my clients the truth. I'm a Libra. I expect news magazine format shows like 60 minutes to be the same. Be accountable. Earn your viewers. Tell us the truth.

I have no issue with commissions being negotiable. The average realtor should make less commission... they do a lot less work... and get less desireable results. What hacks me off is that I pay them (other realtors) 3% on a Co-op... and they want to pay me less than that when I sell one of their homes. Why... because they are too lazy... or too dumb... or too cheap... to do what it takes... to earn a 6% commission. I do everything I can think of to make my listings more desireable... including paying a 3% buyer's broker commission. My clients take the commission into consideration when deciding what price they will accept... and make decisions they are happy with. My clients walk away from the transaction with a smile on their face... and more money in their pocket.

It cost's more to do our business today than it ever has. Gasoline, Advertising, Insurance, Taxes, Equipment, Supplies, Paper, Printer Cartridges... and I'm charging the same percentage I did when I got my first license in 1983. I'm proud of my contribution. I'm proud of our Industry. Yes we need to always strive to be better... and my comments about the Average Realtor should not be taken to mean anything except the truth. The scarry part is the Average Doctor is likely to kill you. I don't deal in Average. I don't believe in the word enough. Enough is never enough... except for this acceptace of innacurate reporting. I've had enough of that for sure. If you agree... send 60 Minutes an email... at 60M@cbsnews.com. Tell them we expect the unbiased truth... and we are embarrased for them
